(Posted by Cathy DuBois) I know a man who drives a big rig for his living. His truck is getting old and his flatbed trailer is even older. One fine day he was traveling the interstate with a loaded trailer and hoping he could make it to unload before his customer closed for the day. Suddenly he saw one tire from the trailer go sailing out into a field, which was promptly followed by the right side trailer tire going directly into the oncoming traffic and just misses hitting another truck, then rolls down an embankment. He immediately pulls over, jumps out and discovers that metal fatigue had caused the bracket that was holding the tires to vibrate so much it sheered off several of the lug nuts causing the two outside tires to fall off. The tires were moving at such speed that he and his helper from the Highway Patrol could not find them.
I relate this story as a way to remind people that we have to take care of ourselves if we don’t want the “wheels to fall off our bus.” Think about it for a moment. This man keeps very good care of his rig, with regular inspections, replacement parts, etc. He is not a mechanic, though he constantly learns. Anyway, as it relates to people and their maintenance routines, it makes one wonders if we are so busy with one or two things like jogging and getting enough rest, we forget there are lots and lots of little things that need to be watched and appreciated. It would be great to see a “Nuts and Bolts Book for Human Maintenance” guide that would show and tell us all about our working parts and how to care for them. Our bodies are pretty amazing and most people don’t really know a lot about them, so it is easy to believe the nonsense put out there.
So I challenge you to find out something you did not know about your body on a regular basis. Go to anatomy sites, science and biology sites but not “Put green beans in your eyes to stop snoring” type sites. Who knows, you may find you need to tighten a bolt to keep your wheels one tight.
This is the New Gaia and is the home of the Creator Beings. Practice it, think about it and let go of all the old burdens, heartaches, perceived failures, contracts, hard work, etc. They will no longer serve you. It is time to chose who you want to be and consciously be that now. If you want more guidance on this important topic stay tuned for more resources.
